Machico Typeface is inspired by vintage printed typefaces, it has nice square letters with a little serif and you can almost imagine it on some old official documents hidden away in a file in the town hall of some remote town in Portugal. Making this one, I imagined that the soft edges, the bleed and the imperfections were a result of the mechanical process of the printing press that had already printed a million letters and had worn away a little.
